Natural sciences are best mastered in practice through experiments. When you see with your own eyes reagents bubbling, an electrical circuit closing, cells dividing — you get everything at once. And the pictures from a textbook are not enough.
But equipment of Ukrainian schools is a sorry sight. And if some urban schools receive sufficient financing, the situation is especially sad in rural ones. And we have 65% of them.
We wanted students to be able to get high-quality practical knowledge, regardless of restrictions. This is what the BOOKVAR project was dedicated to.
BOOKVAR is an application which allows a student to go through the most interesting, complex and dangerous experiment in virtual or augmented reality.
To do this, we have slightly revived school textbooks.
The project consists of applications for smartphones and for VR glasses.
Almost every schoolchild has a smartphone. They download the app, select a textbook and point the camera at the page they need. The experiment appears on the screen in augmented reality.
It will serve a visual aid to everything described in the book and help perform an experiment step by step, and then test their knowledge.

In the VR version of the project, we decided to send a schoolchild to a space laboratory. The principle is the same: you select an experiment from the menu and carry it out. But everything feels much more real, because you need to interact with both the menu and the laboratory itself using a manipulator that repeats the movements of your hand. And it seems that everything is happening in reality.
For children to be able to work simultaneously and do not depend on a PC, we chose Oculus autonomous headsets. They do not use a computer for work as the headset is already equipped with all the necessary hardware and software.
The project drew attention of the government and it is already being implemented in Ukrainian schools.

It's cool if you can attach a specification, but if you don't have one, we'll help you make it up.
We need just a bit of time to separate the managers fighting for it. We will contact you soon.
